Job description

Technical Service & Field Operations Manager

Gallman Consulting's client is an international manufacturer expanding its North American presence and seeking a Technical Service Manager to help support the next phase of growth.

Today, the U.S. operation serves as a key assembly and customer support hub, assembling products shipped from the company's global manufacturing network to meet growing North American demand. At the same time, the organization is actively investing in the infrastructure, equipment, and processes necessary to expand into full-scale manufacturing capabilities.

This isn't a future vision. The expansion is already underway.

The facility is currently undergoing significant investment, including the installation of new production equipment, climate-controlled manufacturing environments, upgraded infrastructure, and additional capabilities that will support the long-term transition from assembly operations to a more vertically integrated manufacturing model.

For the right person, this represents a unique opportunity to join a company during a transformational stage and help shape how technical service, customer support, and field operations evolve alongside the organization's growth.

Why This Opportunity is Different:
  • Join during a significant expansion phase as the U.S. operation evolves from assembly into increased domestic manufacturing capability
  • Work alongside experienced international engineering and technical teams
  • Support projects across data centers, marine, industrial, utility, and critical infrastructure markets
  • Gain exposure to projects involving some of the world's most recognized technology, electrical, and industrial organizations
  • Help shape the future of service operations as the company continues investing in North America
The Role:

You’ll serve as the primary connection between customers, field service resources, and internal operations.

Responsibilities include:
  • Leading field service technicians and service activities
  • Supporting installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty matters
  • Coordinating service schedules, labor resources, and project execution
  • Acting as a trusted technical resource for customers
  • Partnering with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to deliver exceptional service support
  • Traveling as needed to customer sites as necessary
Who Will Be Successful:

The ideal candidate is technically capable, customer-focused, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a growing environment where priorities can shift quickly.

Professionals who have led technical teams, managed projects, supported customers, coordinated contractors, or overseen service operations within manufacturing, industrial, equipment, infrastructure, power, automation, HVAC, reliability, maintenance, or other technical environments are being considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of technical leadership, field service, engineering, maintenance, or technical operations experience
  • Experience leading customer-facing technical teams or service organizations
  • Experience managing labor, materials, project schedules, and vendor relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred, but equivalent technical leadership experience will be considered

While this role is located in the Augusta-area region of Georgia, we welcome applications from candidates throughout the Southeast. Relocation assistance may be available based on experience and overall fit.
