Onto Innovation is seeking an Install Engineer to execute installation, calibration, and initial commissioning of complex electro/mechanical equipment at customer sites in the U.S. You will work under the Ramp Manager, ensuring installations meet safety and performance standards while supporting system integration and customer satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, travel up to 50% domestically and internationally, and clear communication with customers and engineering teams

Qualifications

• BS in electronics, mechanical, or related technical discipline, or equivalent military/technical experience.
• Hands-on experience with electro/mechanical systems, software integration, and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Responsabilités

• Execute installation and configuration of complex electro/mechanical equipment at customer sites.
• Support ramp activities by performing installations under standard and escalated conditions.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during installation and startup.
• Collaborate with Ramp Manager and field teams to meet installation schedules and milestones.
• Ensure all installations meet quality, safety, and performance standards.
• Perform system validation, calibration, and testing to confirm readiness.
• Document installation activities, issues, and resolutions.
• Provide feedback to engineering and product teams to improve procedures and performance.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory for installation activities.
• Support customer interactions with clear communication and professional representation.
• Participate in training on new products, upgrades, and methodologies.
