Job summary

The Taylor Group Inc., operating SSI-Odessa in Odessa, TX, seeks a Full Time Field Service Technician to service and repair diesel and gas generator sets at customer sites. You will coordinate with the Service Manager on travel and parts, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure proper documentation for billing.

The role requires problem-solving skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to stay on-call 24/7.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• DOT certification (21+ years) required.
• Experience with diesel and/or gas engines including servicing and repair.
• Electrical knowledge and ability to read diagrams and wiring.
• Power generation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan work and travel with the Service Manager, prioritizing customer needs.
• Provide tools and parts and arrange on-site repair services.
• Document customer details, machine description, and service time for billing.
• Perform preventative maintenance on generator sets, including fluids, belts, and tests.
• Maintain a neat appearance and complete lot paperwork promptly.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
