Job summary

Sudden Service, INC (SSI) in Odessa, TX is seeking a Field Service Technician to service and repair diesel and gas engines at customer sites. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with the Service Manager for travel plans and parts provisioning.

Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and be able to obtain DOT certification. Strong problem solving, electrical knowledge, and willingness to be on-call are key assets.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Must be DOT certifiable (21+).
Experience with diesel and/or gas engines including servicing and repairing.
Some electrical knowledge and ability to read diagrams.

Responsibilities

Consult with Service Manager to plan effective work and travel.
Provide tools and parts and arrange for on-site repair at customer locations.
Report job details, mileage, and time for proper billing and records.
Perform preventative maintenance on generator sets, including fluids and filters.
