Job summary

Vacuum Technique LLC is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide expert repair services for vacuum pumps and systems, ensuring uptime and safety across customer sites. You will diagnose issues, perform installations, and document activities while prioritizing customer satisfaction.

You will report to the Field Service Manager, travel extensively within your territory, and work on-site with industrial equipment in varied environments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with technical training in electrical, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
  • 1-2 years in maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Experience with vacuum pumps or systems preferred.
  • Fluency in English and valid driver’s license.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments; extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair vacuum pumps and systems.
  • Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
  • Be the on-site contact, provide service recommendations and customer support.

Job description

Your role

Your mission as the Field Service Engineer is to provide expert repair services for our vacuum pumps and systems, delivering unmatched customer satisfaction and upholding the highest standards of safety. You are committed to ensuring the performance and longevity of your customers technology through your expertise. Your work is important for supporting the operational success and technological advancement of industries relying on these technologies.

You will
  • Report into the Field Service Manager.
  • Conduct planned and ad hoc visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair various vacuum pumps and systems. You will also diagnose any issues to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
  • Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.
To succeed, you will need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required with technical training in electrical, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics perferred. Knowledgeable of HVAC preferred.
  • You have 1-2 years of experience, maintaining and repairing various types of mechanical and electrical equipment, preferably on vacuum pumps or systems.
  • Aspiration to keep up to date with the latest technical developments
  • Experience in a service position in an industrial and highly technical environment
  • Able to work independently with strong self-management and professionalism. Able to complete work within assigned deadlines. Computer proficiency as required for communicaiton, research, work orders and programming various controllers. Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Must be fluent in English and have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and work in industrial environments including extremes in temerature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
  • Extensive travel to customer locations, including out-of-town and overnight travel. Available for a rotating schedule of on-call work on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job location

You will join a dynamic field service team, working remotely and spending a significant amount of time traveling to visit customers within your designated area territory.
