Job summary

Vacuum Technique LLC is seeking a Field Service Engineer to repair and service vacuum pumps and systems, ensuring safety and maximizing uptime. You will travel to customer sites, perform installations, and provide expert on-site support with strong customer communication.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years in mechanical/electrical maintenance, with a focus on vacuum equipment, and are fluent in English with a valid driver’s license. This role involves extensive travel and occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, service, troubleshoot and repair vacuum pumps and systems to minimize downtime.
  • Perform installations and ensure safety compliance.

Your role

Your mission as the Field Service Engineer is to provide expert repair services for our vacuum pumps and systems, delivering unmatched customer satisfaction and upholding the highest standards of safety. You are committed to ensuring the performance and longevity of your customers technology through your expertise. Your work is important for supporting the operational success and technological advancement of industries relying on these technologies.

You will
  • Report into the Field Service Manager.
  • Conduct planned and ad hoc visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair various vacuum pumps and systems. You will also diagnose any issues to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
  • Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.
To succeed, you will need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required with technical training in electrical, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics perferred. Knowledgeable of HVAC preferred.
  • You have 1-2 years of experience, maintaining and repairing various types of mechanical and electrical equipment, preferably on vacuum pumps or systems.
  • Aspiration to keep up to date with the latest technical developments
  • Experience in a service position in an industrial and highly technical environment
  • Able to work independently with strong self-management and professionalism. Able to complete work within assigned deadlines. Computer proficiency as required for communicaiton, research, work orders and programming various controllers. Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Must be fluent in English and have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and work in industrial environments including extremes in temerature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
  • Extensive travel to customer locations, including out-of-town and overnight travel. Available for a rotating schedule of on-call work on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job location

You will join a dynamic field service team, working remotely and spending a significant amount of time traveling to visit customers within your designated area territory.
