Job summary

Spectrum Dynamics seeks a Field Service Engineer to drive customer satisfaction for VERITON SPECT/CT and D-SPECT systems. You will deliver onsite and remote service, install and upgrade systems, and collaborate with engineering to improve product reliability and serviceability globally.

The role requires a biomedical or electrical engineering background, hands-on experience with medical imaging equipment, and a strong customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• BS in Biomedical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience servicing and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
• 3 years of experience servicing/installing medical imaging equipment (CT or PET; nuclear equipment preferred).
• Strong skills with computers, software installations/upgrades, and electronic-mechanical assembly.
• Ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel to support locations in the US and abroad.
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote field service support for software, hardware, IT, and clinical applications.
• Perform new system installations, field upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
• Own the customer experience and drive satisfaction while resolving issues.
• Decide on necessary resources and engage stakeholders for timely problem resolution.
• Communicate with customers to ensure issues are resolved and follow up as needed.
• Support new product introductions and first-of-kind installations.
• Report status to internal/external support teams.
• Collaborate with sales and applications teams to address customer needs and drive service revenue.
• Identify process/tool improvements to enhance productivity.
• Report to the Director of Service.
