Job summary

Spectrum Dynamics Medical is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site and remote support for DSPECT and VERITON-CT systems across the US. You will install, upgrade, and maintain medical imaging equipment, ensuring high reliability and customer satisfaction.

You will travel to client sites as needed, work independently, and collaborate with sales and applications teams to address service needs and drive revenue while upholding the company’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Experience servicing and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
• 3+ years servicing/ installing medical imaging equipment (CT/PET; nuclear equipment preferred).
• Strong skills with computers, software installations and upgrades, and electronic-mechanical assembly.
• Ability to work independently and travel to support US and international locations.
• Strong customer service mindset and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote support for break-fix issues related to software, hardware, and IT, and their clinical applications.
• Execute new system installations, field upgrades, and preventive maintenance for Spectrum Dynamics’ products.
• Take ownership of customer experience and initiate problem resolution and escalation as needed.
• Identify and engage necessary resources for timely problem resolution.
• Directly communicate with customers and follow up to ensure issues are resolved.
• Support new product introductions and first-of-kind installations.
• Provide status reporting to internal/external customer support teams.
• Act as a technical resource and customer advocate as needed.
• Collaborate with sales and application professionals to address satisfaction needs and drive revenue.
• Highlight deficiencies and suggest tool/training/process improvements.
• Report to the Director of Service.
