Job description

Our client is seeking Full-Time, Direct Hire, Field Service Engineers to support nationwide customers and will be based in AZ, OR, ID, OH, TX or NY. Interested candidates must be willing to travel to Japan 1-3 months after hire date to participate in a 2-year training program in Japan.

The Mission of Field Service Engineers is to install, modify, and service complex high vacuum semiconductor equipment and systems, evaluate, troubleshoot, and resolve design issues related to such installations, and provide a wide range of technical assistance to customers and colleagues.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, with specific shifts determined after 2-year training in Japan.

Pay Rate: $38-$43 Hourly DOE

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

1. Perform hands-on field service duties at customer sites, including on-site installations, upgrades, retrofits, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, repairs, and debugging of electronic and mechanical systems. Provide basic-to-advanced troubleshooting and operational training to customers and staff.
2. Recommend equipment modifications or improvements to enhance operation and performance.
3. Submit all necessary documentation promptly, including timesheets, expense reports, and field service reports, adhering to company policies.
4. Maintain technical proficiency in troubleshooting electronic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, drive, and software systems. Participate in continuing education as required.
5. Contribute to training less-experienced engineers.
6. Manage customer satisfaction by handling service problems effectively, including order issues, failures, and service inquiries, to maintain high customer satisfaction and positive relations.

Requirements:

• Associate degree or prior technical Military experience
• Experience as a Semiconductor Equipment Field Service Engineer
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing semiconductor equipment
• Ability to travel as needed
• Eligibility to work in the US without visa/work sponsorship
