Job summary

ManpowerGroup's client is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customer sites and technical projects in Meridian, Idaho. You will analyze complex failures, interpret drawings, and lead startup and commissioning of automated wet bench systems, delivering improvements while aligning with SEMI standards.

Qualifications

• AS degree in Engineering/Tech or related field; OR BA/BS in Engineering or related science.
• Equivalent combination of technical education and 5+ years in semiconductor equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting semiconductor processing equipment and automated systems, including PLC-based controls.
• Ability to read and apply engineering documentation such as P&IDs, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings to diagnose and correct issues.
• Hands-on capability to perform point-to-point wiring and soldering, assemble and bundle electrical wiring with proper labeling, and install valves, fittings, and plumbing components for leak-tight connections.
• Working knowledge of safe tool operation and field documentation practices, including accurate time/material tracking in Global Shop and clear communication between customers and factory personnel.

Responsibilities

• 75% Field-based role with domestic and international travel to support customers.
• Analyze complex system failures using advanced diagnostic techniques and engineering principles to restore equipment performance.
• Interpret technical specifications, P&IDs, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings to diagnose non-routine problems accurately.
• Apply engineering knowledge to develop innovative solutions for equipment modifications and process improvements.
• Lead startup, commissioning, and qualification of sophisticated automated wet bench systems, ensuring performance aligns with SEMI standards and customer specifications.
• Serve as a primary technical consultant to customers—recommending equipment upgrades, retrofits, and process optimizations while documenting outcomes and engineering changes.
