Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a field service professional to install, commission, maintain, and repair power transformers. You will interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, perform on-site and remote service tasks, and coordinate logistics for service jobs to minimize downtime.

The role requires the ability to travel up to 85%, work outdoors, and lift up to 50 lbs. A two-year associate degree (or equivalent with 5 years experience) is required, with a willingness to work in challenging field

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of transformer field service operations.
• Familiarity with transformer installation and assembly, vacuum and oil processing.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and follow manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site and remote service activities including installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and replacements.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, instructions and manuals.
• Coordinate logistics for service jobs, including tools, resources and spare parts.
• Support customers by addressing technical issues and anticipating service needs.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
