Job summary

Emerson Electric Co. in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Field Engineer to join a team of customer support engineers who analyze and solve engineering problems during installation, start-up, and operation of distributed control systems at customer locations.

You will travel up to 75% and provide direct engineering advisory support, with responsibilities including on-site instruction, writing maintenance procedures, and creating timely activity reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 0–2 years of related experience.
• Be able to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• On-site instruction of customer personnel; writing and modifying maintenance procedures; quality control tests and/or product evaluation.
• Direct efforts of customer personnel engaged in installation of control systems, sub-systems, equipment, or their routine modification/repair.
• Provide direct engineering advisory assistance to the customer, and liaison within the company, on issues dealing with the equipment or related matters.
• Create complete and timely reports on all activities with emphasis on defining problems encountered, services.
