Job summary

Emerson is hiring a Field Service Engineer in Altamonte Springs, FL, with up to 75% travel including overnights, to support installation, start-up, and operation of complex distributed control systems. A hybrid work option is available when not traveling.

You will guide customers during installation, modify procedures, and provide engineering advisory support, while creating detailed activity reports and ensuring service quality across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a similar technical curriculum; or relevant experience in lieu of education.
• Minimum 2 years of experience engaging with customers for installation of control systems, loading application software, installing and maintaining network equipment.
• Be able to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• On-site instruction of customer personnel and modification of maintenance procedures.
• Direct efforts of customer personnel during installation or modification of control systems and equipment.
• Provide direct engineering advisory assistance to the customer and internal liaison on equipment matters.
• Create complete and timely reports emphasizing problem identification and service actions.
