Job summary

Oxford Instruments is seeking a Field Service Engineer II for Plasma Technology to deliver world-class installation, maintenance, and technical support for plasma etch and deposition systems. The role involves extensive travel to customer sites across North America and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with RIE, CVD, ICP systems, perform commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance, and train customers on operation and diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience in semiconductor equipment service.
• 5–7 years field service in semiconductor plasma equipment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of RF theory and vacuum technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation and commissioning of plasma systems per specifications.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and diagnose root causes.
• Engage with customers and provide hands-on training on operation and diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using specialized instruments.
• Calibrate components and assist system upgrades.
