Job summary

Oxford Instruments is seeking a Field Service Engineer – High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) to serve as the senior onsite technical expert for semiconductor customers. You will deliver installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and training to maximize uptime and production.

Based in Remote Texas, you will lead system installation across RIE, CVD, ICP platforms, diagnose complex issues with vacuum, RF, and control subsystems, and travel as needed to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of field service experience in semiconductor industry.
• Experience with plasma etch and deposition systems.
• Willingness to travel domestically for installations and service.
• Familiarity with cleanroom operations and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation and commissioning of plasma etch and deposition systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Provide customer training and on-site support.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software with specialized tools.
• Calibrate components and implement performance upgrades.
• Mentor junior Field Service Engineers.
