Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Technical Service Representative to provide field service and technical support for papermaking finishing equipment. The role covers installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and operator training across North America.

Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude and experience with industrial equipment in papermaking or related manufacturing environments. Responsibilities include site audits, preparing service reports, and advising customers

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Papermaking Technology, or a related technical field.
3-5 years of technical experience within papermaking or related industrial environments.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel extensively throughout North America.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, troubleshoot, maintain, and train operators on equipment.
Provide technical support and advisory services to customers and contractors.
Assist with equipment installation, startup, and commissioning activities.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and field service work.
Prepare service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Train customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
Conduct site audits and identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements.
