Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Technical Service Representative to provide field service and technical support for papermaking finishing equipment. This customer-facing role covers installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and operator training across North America.

The ideal candidate holds an associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or papermaking technology, with 3–5 years of industry experience, strong problem-solving skills, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Papermaking Technology, or related technical field.
• 3-5 years of technical experience in the papermaking industry or related industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel extensively throughout North America.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide field service and technical support for papermaking finishing equipment.
• Provide technical support and advisory services to customers and contractors.
• Assist with equipment installation, startup, and commissioning activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and field service work.
• Prepare service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Train customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Conduct site audits and identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements.
• Support customers throughout the United States and North America.
