Job summary

Valmet is seeking a hands-on Field Service Specialist in the Paper Machine Wet End group. You’ll join our NA Services team and support customers by ensuring equipment runs at optimum levels across North America, with potential travel overseas for targeted projects.

Daily duties include on-site customer visits, remote troubleshooting from our offices, and collaboration with a team of service experts. We value mechanical (and electrical) aptitude and are willing to train the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Willing to travel 50-80% of the time across North America.
• Good communication and PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site field service visits to the Paper Machine Wet End to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Provide remote troubleshooting from office when applicable and support customer operations.
• Collaborate with Valmet service experts to ensure equipment performs at peak efficiency for customers.
