Job summary

Edwards Vacuum LLC in San Jose, CA, seeks an Onsite Service Engineer to provide expert repair services for our vacuum technology solutions, ensuring uptime and safety. You will visit client sites, diagnose issues, perform installations, and document activities.

Ideal candidates have 1-3 years in a technical field, a High School Diploma (AS preferred), strong customer focus, and fluency in English. This onsite role reports to the Site Manager and offers growth within the Edwards/Atlas Copco

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant technical field experience (electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration, or basic vacuum).
• Customer-facing experience is preferred.
• Strong safety and compliance awareness in field service roles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Site Manager.
• Conduct planned and ad hoc site visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair systems; diagnose issues to prevent downtime.
• Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
• Serve as on-site contact, offering service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.
