Job summary

Acuative is seeking a Field Service Technician to support voice and data networks, servers, and retail tech across the Champaign, IL area. The role involves installing, testing, and maintaining routers, switches, WAPs, telephony, and related cabling in diverse customer environments.

You will travel to job sites, work with minimal supervision, lift up to 50 pounds, and participate in paid training with potential overtime and call-out pay after hours.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• CompTIA, Cisco, Cabling, and PBX certifications a plus.
• Selected candidates will attend hardware and cabling training at our Global Technology Center in Strongsville, OH.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain networking hardware including routers, switches, and WAPs.
• Install and maintain telephony equipment and circuits.
• Install and support retail technology systems (POS, Digital Signage, Video Surveillance).
• Circuit extensions and structured cabling; site surveys and audits.
• Maintain company vehicle, inventory, and tools to standards.
