Job summary

Acuative, a leading independent provider of telecommunications field services in Rockford, IL, seeks a Field Service Technician to install and maintain voice and data networks and related hardware at customer sites.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and occasional after-hours work; company vehicle and training are provided, with guaranteed 40 hours weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• Certifications in CompTIA, Cisco, Cabling, and PBX are a plus.
• Willing to travel to customer sites and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain networking hardware including routers, switches, and WAPs.
• Install telephony equipment and circuits.
• Support retail technology systems such as POS and digital signage.
• Perform structured cabling and site surveys/audits.
• Install and service satellite receivers and fixed wireless antennas.
• Submit job documents promptly and maintain tools and vehicle.
