Job summary

AIXTRON Inc. is seeking experienced Field Service Engineers to install and service MO(CVD) semiconductor equipment. You will lead pre-installation to technical acceptance, then support maintenance, repairs and upgrades while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

The role requires travel domestically and internationally, strong technical and communication skills, and the ability to work in a team across a global organization.

Qualifications

• BS degree in electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering or equivalent.
• 2-5 years' experience with semiconductor equipment.
• Proficient with mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally >75%.

Responsibilities

• Direct and execute pre-installation, installation, and start-up of equipment with minimal direction.
• Act as liaison: provide customer interface, status reports, and respond to requests.
• Prepare equipment for process acceptance: testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring contract specifications.
• Diagnose and repair hardware and address software failures on assigned equipment.
• Provide documentation of all issues and actions; submit reports and travel expenses timely.
• Participate in 24-hour on-call support for installed base equipment.
• Train less experienced employees and customer representatives on operation and maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
