Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the Field Service Organization in deploying and maintaining mission-critical digital mobile communications for government and public safety clients.

You will handle deployment, optimization, and repair of infrastructure, servers, and networking gear, often working with multi-site RF systems and LAN/WAN. This role requires self-motivation, strong problem-solving, and on-call availability.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in technology or related field required.
• Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain security clearance.
• CJIS policy background check may be required for government contracts.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for mission-critical digital mobile systems.
• Deploy, optimize, and repair network infrastructure and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document system operations.
• Develop solutions for complex problems during maintenance or upgrades.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Project Management and Service Partners.
• Deliver weekly activity reports and maintain system documentation.
• Operate and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, RF interfaces, and networking gear.
• Maintain server hardware/OS and related software infrastructure.
