Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Field Engineer to deploy CAD, mobile apps, and RMS for government and municipal projects. You will lead customer installations, verify system readiness, and perform routine maintenance to ensure security and reliability in public safety environments.

The role requires strong software and IP networking expertise, CJIS compliance training, and 50-75% travel. A engineering/IT degree or 5+ years of deploying complex IP products is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, IT, Software Engineering, or Technology, or 5+ years of experience deploying and integrating complex IP products and systems.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; no sponsorhips for this position.

Responsibilities

• Managing and executing customer installation activities within agreed upon project timeframes.
• Verifying the complete functionality and readiness of systems for software deployment.
• Conducting routine system tasks like software updates, system upgrades, data backup/restoration, and troubleshooting.
• Gaining a deep understanding of public safety customer environments to ensure optimal product security and reliability.
• Demonstrating proficient software and IP networking skills, coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Deliver solutions that align with existing products, standard interfaces, and pre-defined procedures.
• Adhering to all corporate guidelines and completing required training, including CJIS compliance.
• Accurately logging billable hours for project work.
• Travel (50%-75%) will be required, depending on project and business needs.
