Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. is seeking a Commissioning Engineer for Medium Gas Turbines Field Service. You will work at customer job sites primarily in the US/Canada, with global travel as needed, supporting installation, commissioning, and servicing of MGT600-800 product lines.

The role requires training to become a certified Siemens Energy CE, with training partly in the US and Sweden. This position reports to the Medium Gas Turbine Operations Manager and is based in the USA.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or technical-vocational training.
• 8+ years of instrumentation and control systems experience (PLC’s, etc.).
• Gas turbine knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Experience in field service with mechanical/electrical work.
• Experience leading small teams is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel US/Canada and globally, 1–6 weeks at a time, ~250 days per year.

Responsibilities

• Act as the company face at the customer site.
• Build strong customer relationships with a positive attitude.
• Maintain progress with both customer and Siemens Energy project teams.
• Develop broad knowledge of Siemens Energy Gas Turbine types.
• Grow in the role across levels of competence and roles.
• Represent Siemens Energy and deliver premier service.
