Job summary

Werfen is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the Hemostasis install base in New Jersey. You will install, repair, and maintain complex Werfen instruments, perform preventive maintenance, and meet service KPIs while traveling extensively within the territory.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Electronics, Medical Technology, or Biomedical Engineering and at least 3 years in a technical/support role, with strong Windows and Lab Information Systems knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics, Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering or related training.
• Minimum of 3 years in a technical/support or customer-facing role.
• Strong PC skills; familiarity with Lab Information Systems and networks a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% and work extended hours.
• Experience with Werfen instrumentation platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site installations, repairs, preventive maintenance, and product enhancements.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and isolate instrument issues; implement corrective actions.
• Escalate unresolved technical issues and document service activities.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Sales and Applications teams and promote service contracts.
