Job summary

Volvo Penta North America (VPNA) is seeking a skilled field service professional to support a defined US territory, from southern Maine to Connecticut. You will troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul Volvo Penta marine and industrial products, including new technologies like electrification and remote diagnostics, while expanding dealer capabilities.

Travel up to 50% domestically; strong mechanical/electronic expertise and collaboration with dealer networks are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in mechanical/engineering tech or related field; bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in engine OEM, distributor, or dealer service.
• Expert knowledge of industrial and marine engine systems, diagnostics, and repair; Volvo Penta experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical resource for complex applications, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Respond to advanced technical inquiries via phone, case management, and on-site service.
• Act as liaison between dealer base, customers, technical support and quality teams.
• Lead investigations into product complaints and safety incidents; document findings.
• Provide feedback loops with Technical Support and Competence Development teams.
