Job summary

TOPTICA Photonics Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Rochester, NY to provide on-site and remote technical support for advanced laser systems. You will install, service, and repair systems at customer locations, traveling as needed and collaborating with customers and internal teams.

The role requires hands-on laser experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure. US work authorization is required and periodic training in Munich is planned.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience with cw/ultrafast lasers and optical systems.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to adapt to unexpected challenges with a collaborative attitude.
• Comfortable in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds.
• Unrestricted right to work in United States.

Responsibilities

• Field service of existing TOPTICA laser systems at customer sites.
• Installation of new laser systems at customer locations with regular travel.
• Service and repair of laser systems in-house when needed.
• Technical support and troubleshooting with customers and colleagues.
• Periodic travel to TOPTICA's headquarters in Munich for training and product orientation.
