Job summary

TOPTICA Photonics, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Pittsford, NY to deliver on-site and remote technical support for customers. The role involves field service of existing laser systems, installation of new systems with regular travel, and in-house repair when needed.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with cw or ultrafast lasers, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. Travel to Munich for training is required.

To strengthen our Service team, we are looking for a talented and team-oriented Field Service Engineer to provide on-site and/or remote technical support for our customers, who are often leaders in their respective scientific disciplines.

What can you expect in the role of Field Service Engineer?

Field service of existing TOPTICA laser systems at customer sites

Installation of new laser systems at customer locations with regular travel

Service and repair of laser systems in-house when needed

Technical support and troubleshooting with both internal and external customers

Periodic travel to TOPTICA's headquarters in Munich for training and product orientation

Significant experience and skill in hands-on work with cw and/or ultrafast lasers and optical systems

Strong problem-solving abilities

Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds
