Job summary

HP is seeking an experienced Large Format Printer Field Service Engineer to join our Global Customer Support Organization. In this field-based role, you will provide on-site technical support, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for HP Large Format Printing equipment.

You should be a hands-on technical professional with strong mechanical and electrical skills and thrive in a field-based environment while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or commensurate work experience.
• 6-8 years of related work experience, preferably with HP products in customer base or on-site support.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, training, maintenance, and repairs on customer's Large Format Printing equipment.
• Determine site and equipment requirements.
• Understand customer goals and identify consequences of various solutions.
• Work according to the project plan, installation plan, and escalation plan.
• Configure system hardware, software, and network components.
• Assemble and integrate system/product and verify operation.
• Provide the customer with an overview of installation activity and contacts.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction by clarifying needs and ensuring they are met.
• Handle customer-relations issues promptly and escalate as needed.
