Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Technical Service Representative (Field Service) to join our U.S. Field Tech Service Team, servicing customers across the Southeast.

This role will perform on-site installation, maintenance, and problem resolution on complex instruments and systems while documenting service activities. Candidates must have an associate's degree or equivalent, be able to travel extensively, and possess strong diagnostic skills, with proficiency in MS Office and fault tracing.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or vocational school, electrical and mechanical training; or two years related technology support experience.
• Experience reading schematics and working with high voltage equipment.
• Strong mathematical aptitude for practical problem solving.
• Proficient with MS Office and able to navigate systems and applications.
• Valid driver's license; passport may be required.
• Willingness to travel extensively between locations and remote sites.
• Experience in fast-paced, multi-task environments; independent decision making within guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests on instruments and components to verify operation and diagnose malfunctions.
• Talk with operators to identify issues and replace defective components or adjust settings.
• Align and calibrate equipment per Atlas and OEM specifications.
• Provide training to users on operation, maintenance, and calibration.
• Prepare quotes, agreements, and service reports including pricing and terms.
• Maintain service records, schedules, and business expenses.
• Manage inventory and calibration documentation; follow quality standards.
