Job summary

VJ Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair advanced industrial X-ray systems at customer sites. Travel up to 50% includes international assignments, supporting aviation, metrology, and energy sectors.

The role requires strong electro-mechanical skills, experience with microfocus X-ray sources, HV generators, and LINAC systems, and adherence to radiation safety and regulatory compliance. On-site support and training are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience servicing industrial X-ray systems or similar high-voltage equipment.
• Experience with Microfocus X-ray sources, High-voltage generators (90kV-450kV typical), and Industrial LINAC systems.
• Strong electronics troubleshooting background and ability to read schematics and drawings.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission industrial X-ray inspection systems at customer sites.
• Perform system setup including beam alignment, geometric calibration, and detector integration.
• Commission microfocus open-tube X-ray systems and conduct vacuum validation.
• Diagnose faults and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HV generators, LINACs, and related subsystems.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support and train operators.
