Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. invites ambitious engineers to join the Field Service Engineer in Training program. You’ll train in classrooms, gain hands-on field experience, and prepare to become a recognized field engineering expert while supporting critical energy infrastructure.

Travel 200–250 days/year, long hours, and hands-on work with turbines, generators, and power plants. Start January–February 2027; multiple site deployments; a gateway to leadership in energy technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required by start date (Jan/Feb 2027).
• Willingness to travel 200–250 days/year for 2–15 weeks per trip.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Driver's license required with acceptable driving record throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Complete classroom and on-the-job training at multiple sites across the US.
• Supervise technicians during power plant maintenance shutdowns.
• Coordinate upgrades to mechanical and electrical systems on turbine generators.
• Serve as primary customer contact during outages and travel to facilities across North America.
• Assist with disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting, and reassembly of equipment.
