Job summary

Forgent Power is seeking a Field Service Engineer Level 3 to perform maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of LV/MV switchgear, breakers, ATS, and related power equipment. You will own assigned scopes, support commissioning, and mentor junior technicians while ensuring safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include reading diagrams, performing tests, documenting activities, and coordinating with project teams. Expect significant travel (50–80%), with on-site work at diverse facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or Associate's degree a plus.
• 3–4 years of field service experience with LV/MV equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices including LOTO and arc-flash risk controls.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and one-lines.
• Strong documentation and field reporting abilities.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel, sometimes on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform preventive maintenance and testing on LV/MV switchgear, breakers, ATS, and PDUs.
• Read and interpret one-line diagrams and schematics to support troubleshooting.
• Lead portions of job execution and mentor junior technicians.
• Document service activities and maintain accurate test records.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and customer site requirements.
