Job summary

Bio-Rad Laboratories is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover the Detroit, MI area, traveling to hospitals, labs, and pharma sites to service Bio-Rad instruments.

You will perform repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance while documenting results to support quality records and FDA/GMP compliance. Strong customer relations and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of field service on electro-mechanical/electronic/optical/robotics equipment.
• Hands-on experience with Diagnostic or Life Science instruments.
• Ability to read and follow medium to highly complex work instructions.
• Strong computer skills and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Strong customer relations and written/oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Performing repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on Bio-Rad's instruments.
• Supporting and maintaining the Bio-Rad instruments customers rely on for breakthroughs.
• Building and sustaining strong relationships with customers.
• Adhering to FDA and GMP regulations with detailed service documentation.
