Job summary

Pace Analytical in Norristown, PA is seeking an experienced instrumentation specialist to execute maintenance, calibration, and qualification of complex instruments and software. You will support customers and staff with troubleshooting results and improve instrument systems through careful analysis and documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of hands-on repair experience, with strong knowledge of metrology standards and SOP development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, electronics, or closely related field.
Five (5) years instrument/equipment troubleshooting and repair experience or equivalent combination.
Complex to specialized knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and metrology standards.
Strong documentation, SOPs, calibration protocols experience.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, maintain, and repair instrumentation/equipment; provide specialist support.
Calibrate and qualify instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy.
Recommend and implement improvements to instrument systems and processes.
Source and manage supplies and parts for instruments; maintain inventory.
Communicate troubleshooting results and solutions to customers and staff.
Draft and revise SOPs, calibration procedures, and qualification protocols.
Collaborate on cross-functional projects and present information to management.
Provide analysis and guidance on equipment policies and practices to staff and leaders.
