Job summary

Pace Analytical Services is hiring for an Instrumentation Technician to maintain, diagnose, repair, and qualify HPLC, UPLC, GC, and IC systems in a Columbus, OH area role. You will calibrate, qualify, and implement improvements, while managing parts inventory and providing customer support.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in chemistry/biochemistry/electronics and at least 3 years of analytical instrument experience, with strong troubleshooting and communication skills to support

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, electronics, or a closely related field and at least 3 years analytical instrument experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge of laboratory and analytical instrumentation (HPLC/UPLC/GC/IC) and metrology standards.
Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and solving problems on HPLC/UPLC/GC/IC systems; familiarity with Agilent/Waters LC/UPLC and Thermo IC instruments preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintains, diagnoses and repairs HPLC/UPLC/GC/IC systems.
Performs calibration and qualification of instruments.
Implements improvements to instrumentation and systems.
Sourcing and ordering supplies to ensure inventory of consumables and repair parts.
Communicates troubleshooting results and solutions to customers and staff.
Participates in cross-functional projects and reports to management.
Ensures QA through audits, queries and reviews; resolves discrepancies.
