Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a field-based HV service engineer based in Hillsboro, Oregon to support installation, testing, commissioning and repair of high voltage equipment across the Western United States. You will work at customer sites in live environments, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and document test results while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Work authorization permitting employment in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferable; technical certificate acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, modification, testing, commissioning, and repair of HV equipment
• Execute or supervise installation and commissioning of HV substation equipment
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HV equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment and resolve operating problems on-site
• Document electrical field tests and gas analysis results
• Maintain detailed service records and test results
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and Hitachi guidelines
• Develop recommendations and prepare written service reports
