We are seeking Field Service Engineers to support nationwide customers.

*Must be willing to travel to Japan 1-3 months after hire date to participate in a 2-year training program.*

The Mission of a Field Service Engineer is to install, modify, and service complex semiconductor industry high vacuum equipment and systems, as well as evaluate, troubleshoot, and resolve design issues related to such installations and servicing of company products at all types of customer field sites. The role also involves providing a wide range of technical assistance to customers and employees to ensure the accomplishment of scheduled work and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the engineer is responsible for ensuring that the business operates in line with company goals.

What you'll do

• Perform hands-on field service duties at customer sites, including installations, upgrades, retrofits, diagnosis, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical systems. Provide operational, maintenance, and training to customers and colleagues.
• Recommend equipment modifications or process improvements to enhance operation and performance.
• Submit all necessary documentation promptly, including timesheets, expense reports, and service reports, adhering to company policies.
• Maintain technical proficiency and troubleshooting skills, including ongoing education and training.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Handle customer service issues to maintain high satisfaction levels, including managing orders, complaints, and service inquiries.
