Job summary

Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc. is seeking a Subject Matter Expert to lead installations, repairs, and maintenance of heavy trailer equipment. You will travel to customer sites to operate, diagnose, and demonstrate products, while ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.

The role requires a strong mechanical/electrical background, 5+ years of related experience, and the ability to train customers and staff. A valid driver’s license and independent work capability are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in heavy duty truck, trailer, or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record in last 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of safe handling and operation of trailers, tractors, and related gear.
• Experience with refrigeration units, hydraulics, air brakes, electrical systems, welding is a plus.
• Professional, motivated, problem-solving attitude and strong communication.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and bring own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Subject Matter Expert for installations, repairs, and maintenance to meet manufacturer specs.
• Travel on-site to operate, inspect, and diagnose malfunctions.
• Develop relationships with new and existing customers.
• Perform product demonstrations at company facilities and customer sites.
• Read and interpret operating manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics and drawings.
• Ensure all work adheres to safety policies and factory standards.
• Complete paperwork accurately and maintain assets' quality and safety.
