Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Field Service Engineer to troubleshoot, repair, install, upgrade, and perform preventative maintenance on Varian Medical Systems equipment. The role covers a designated service territory with a focus on keeping customer equipment operating efficiently and safely.

You will be the primary contact for service and repair needs, coordinating with customers and internal teams, and ensuring timely completion of field service tasks in compliance with VMS guidelines.

Qualifications

• HS degree or equivalent required; associate degree or technical/vocational training preferred.
• 2–5 years of related experience in electronics or field service.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and repair skills on electronic and electro-mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and follow VMS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair designated VMS equipment within a service territory.
• Manage time and schedule for preventative maintenance, installations, and upgrades.
• Elevate incidents when needed and request assistance from senior staff.
• Examine issues, diagnose, and resolve problems to meet FSE performance levels.
• Maintain territory management and submit field service and expense reports timely.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships using clear communication.
