Job summary

Optimum Sorting is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service, and maintain equipment at customer facilities worldwide. You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, software, and sorter programming issues on-site and remotely, and provide comprehensive training on machine setup and preventive maintenance.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on machinery experience, a Midwest base preference, and travel of 140–180 days per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of experience as a (service) technician with hands-on machinery experience.
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and software troubleshooting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and maintain equipment at customer facilities.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, software, and sorter programming issues on-site and remotely.
• Provide customers with technical training on machine setup, operation, first-line troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
