Job summary

McLanahan is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide specialized technical services at customer sites for design, installation and commissioning of systems and equipment. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure proper operation and performance of the McLanahan design.

Travel domestically and internationally is required, with opportunities to train customers and dealers and participate in on-site sales meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
Familiarity with AutoCAD.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic concepts.
Knowledge of production practices/procedures.
Computer literacy including MS Office applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized technical services at customer sites for design, installation, commissioning and operation of McLanahan systems.
Travel domestically and internationally to support field service, sales, and customer training.
Diagnose, troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment.
Participate in on-site sales meetings and train customers and dealers on equipment and systems.
Review drawings with Engineering using CAD tools and prepare trip reports.
