Job summary

SimTech in Huntsville, AL seeks a Mid-Level Field Service Representative to deploy, install, operate, and sustain complex military equipment at customer sites. You will calibrate EO/IR and radar sensors, perform checks, troubleshoot in the field, and train customers on operation and maintenance.

Expect ~50% travel, independent field work, and collaboration with engineering to resolve issues. The role requires a technical degree or military training and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Technical or vocational degree in electronics or systems maintenance, or equivalent military training.
• 5+ years operating and maintaining complex military equipment in the field.
• Experience with EO/IR and radar sensor systems preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deploy to customer sites to install, operate, maintain, and sustain complex military equipment.
• Operate, align, calibrate, and troubleshoot EO/IR and radar sensors and related hardware.
• Perform system checkout and preventive maintenance before operations and tests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve field issues, escalating to engineering as needed.
• Load software/firmware and verify system configuration and network connectivity.
• Support customer training on system operation and basic maintenance.
• Collect system data and report anomalies and failure trends to engineering.
• Manage on-site spares, tools, and test equipment and coordinate resupply.
• Maintain field service logs and maintenance records.
