Job summary

Essemtec USA, a subsidiary of Essemtec AG, designs and services a range of automation systems. The Field Service Engineer will service North American customers, perform installations, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance, while collaborating with engineering teams.

The role requires 2–4 years in electronics manufacturing or related fields, strong communication, and a willingness to travel up to 80% including international travel.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, robotics, PCB assembly, or related fields.
• Associates degree or related technical work experience in field service.
• Willingness to travel 70–80% nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Servicing Essemtec systems across North America.
• Provide on-site, remote, and hotline support for customers.
• Perform install, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
• On-site support of hardware and software; troubleshoot with internal teams and customers.
• Document field activities in CRM, ERP, or company applications to ensure data accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve unique cases and provide product feedback.
