Job summary

Kendall Howard is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide onsite service, maintenance, auditing, and operational support for equipment systems deployed at customer facilities. You may travel within your regional service area to service multiple buildings.

This role requires strong technical ability and professionalism as you troubleshoot, perform repairs and upgrades, and train customer personnel while representing Kendall Howard in highly technical data-center environments.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in engineering technology, mechanical systems, or related field.
• 5+ years experience in equipment maintenance, field service, or technical support roles.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to travel between multiple facilities within an assigned regional service area.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite troubleshooting and repair of specific equipment systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues affecting operational equipment.
• Replace damaged components and restore equipment to proper operating condition.
• Verify system functionality following repair activities.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities on deployed equipment.
• Inspect mechanical components, electrical systems, and operational controls.
• Document maintenance activities within the service ticket system.
• Commission newly installed equipment systems within customer facilities.
• Provide training to customer personnel on proper equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose complex equipment issues.
• Travel between multiple facilities within the regional service area.
