Job summary

Park Place Technologies is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site diagnostic and repair support for data center hardware across a defined territory. You will travel to client sites, perform hardware testing, system analysis and troubleshooting to restore servers and storage to full operation in line with SLA terms.

The role requires driving up to 75% of the time, working standard hours with after-hours on-call rotation, lifting up to 50 pounds, and passing background screenings.

Qualifications

• Experience working with OEM data center hardware and ability to grasp new products/concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting skills; CompTia A+ and Server+ preferred.
• Willingness to travel to client sites within territory up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site diagnostic and repair support for data center hardware.
• Perform hardware testing, system analysis and troubleshooting to restore operation.
• Communicate with the support center and customers during repair process.
• Coordinate parts and documentation to minimize downtime and trips.
• Follow safety and customer-specific repair procedures and SLA requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities and time reporting.
