Job summary

NES Fircroft is partnering with a global power technology business to establish a brand-new Data Center field service operation in Northern Indiana. As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll drive startup, commissioning and handover of electrical and control systems on major projects.

You’ll collaborate with contractors and customers to perform installation verification, pre-energization checks, system energization, PLC/HMI configuration, field wiring and troubleshooting, producing commissioning

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on field service, commissioning or startup experience.
Experience with switchgear / electrical distribution, PLC & HMI, VFDs or UPS is a plus.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Receiving inspections and installation verification.
Pre-energization and pre-power-up checks.
Equipment energization and system startup.
PLC/HMI configuration and functional verification.
Field wiring and communication checks.
Troubleshooting electrical and control system issues.
Root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Support pre-commissioning, functional testing and IST activities.
Producing commissioning and service documentation.
Providing technical support through final handover and post-commissioning service.
