Job summary

Park Place Technologies is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support data center hardware on-site across a regional territory. You will diagnose and repair servers, storage devices, and related systems, travel to client sites within a 120-mile radius, and participate in after-hours on-call rotations.

The role requires troubleshooting skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service for data center hardware
• Strong troubleshooting skills; CompTia A+ and Server+ preferred
• Availability for after-hours, on-call rotation
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activity
• Pass background screenings as required by Park Place Technologies

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer service needs in a timely, professional manner
• Provide remote problem analysis before arriving at site to minimize trips
• Perform on-site service and repair of data center hardware and storage systems
• Maintain communication with customer and support center during repair process
• Analyze software and hardware logs using diagnostics to guide repairs
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair data center hardware and systems configurations
• Utilize tools for remote system connection to perform diagnosis, repair or configuration changes
• Follow customer repair procedures and assess current and future customer needs
