Job summary

Park Place Technologies is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support on-site diagnostics and hardware servicing within a New Jersey territory. You will travel to client sites, perform server and storage analysis, and coordinate parts and repairs under SLA guidelines.

The role requires hands-on hardware experience, after-hours readiness, and a valid driver’s license with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Travel up to 75% within the designated area is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with OEM data center hardware and ability to grasp new products.
• Successful prior field experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills; CompTIA A+ and Server+ preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and driving record based on travel requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks during shifts.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time within the territory.
• Must pass customer background screenings and pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer service needs with timely, professional on-site support.
• Diagnose hardware and software issues; perform remote analysis to minimize downtime.
• Repair data center hardware and storage systems; coordinate parts and service.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and our support center during repairs.
• Accurately complete audit forms, timesheets and expense reports.
• Travel to client sites within a 120‑mile radius as required.
